I'm batch scanning 35mm slides in groups of 12 (U Max Powerlook3). These then need to be cropped and seperated into different folders. I've done it individually..not too bad, but I'm wondering if there is a way to automate this??

Greetings Charles..
it seems that you're in a stage where you need Actions whichare the bacis of the Batch processing you have used.
i belevie you need another batch process based on an actio of the desired crop size the croped and save as location..

There is an action in the UMax MagicScan software that will allow mw to select multiple frames, then each image will come up in PS as a seperate file. I'm not yet that familiar with the software, and I can't get this to automate...so I still have to define each of the 12 frames individually. This takes almost as much time as scanning all 12 as one file and then cropping them out in PS. Anyone more familiar with the MagicScan software who can offer any insights??? The MagicScan instructions are kinda vague.

...For any one using MagicScan (who is as new to it as I am...) In the Scanner Control box there is a selection for "35mm Slide Tray"...where you select "frame Holder", "Negative". "transmissive", "Flatbed reflective" ..etc. Sececting this automates the cropping so they scan into 12 (or however many) seperate files. It even senses the orientation (very cool). Then just select the file format, and save to the correct folder...simple. It never occured to me that the automate feature would be in the scanner software; I just assumed that Photoshop would do it.
