actions and database interaction?

Hello All,

I'm brand new to the forums and just want to say hello to you all. My first question is along the lines of running some sort of script to make buttons. My problem is that I have a lot of buttons that change on a regular basis. I was wondering if there was anyway to create a looping action/script that can generate the text for the buttons from a database/xml/ or a text list. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the words! I have done some more research and it seems like the PS Script method seems to be the best way to go here.

Hmmm... sounds similar to something lokki and I started to work on a while back (http://www.photoshoptechniques.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2117). I believe it can be done with scripting, but I have not worked on the database portion of this yet. You probably already know, but for scripting, make sure you have the plug-in from Adobe's site (as discussed in this thread (http://www.photoshoptechniques.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1191)).
